Fórmula base para construir 95% das peguntas em inglês: WH + AUX + SUB + VERB + ADJU?
WH: Palavras que começam com as letras W ou H que nos ajudam a fazer perguntas de informação.
Exemplo: What, Which, When, Who, Where, Why, How…
AUXILIARY VERB: Usado com outro verbo para formar sentenças negativas e perguntas de confirmação. Exemplo: am, is, are, do, does, have, has, did, will, can, may, would, could…
SUBJECT: Uma pessoa ou coisa que está realizando uma ação.
Exemplo: I, He, She, It, We, They, You or Ueslei, Afonso, Ednalva, Carol, Dani, dog, cat, car…
VERB: Uma palavra ou grupo de palavras que se referem a um estado, ação ou experiência.
Exemplo: arrive, make, be, feel, go, have, buy, sell, build…
ADJUNCT: A parte de uma oração que geralmente segue o verbo e adiciona mais informação sobre o sujeito ou objeto.
Exemplo: I am walking in the field. “in the field” it’s a adjunct.

What + is + your name + + + ? ” Neste caso o verbo to be é verbo e auxiliar ao mesmo tempo. Outro elemento importante é Noun Phrase “frase nominal” é uma palavra ou grupo de palavras em uma frase que se comporta da mesma maneira que um sujeito.
Dica! O núcleo da fórmula é o Aux-Sub-Verbo se um dos elementos faltar na sentença algo está errado. Essa fórmula cobre 95% das perguntas em inglês. Os outros 5% são casos especiais que devem ser estudados à parte.
